 Why Leave a Gift?

A gift left in your Will can have a lasting impact on families facing some of life’s most challenging moments. Bequests help fund vital programs and supports that government funding often doesn’t cover, including material aid, perinatal mental health support, and early intervention programs such as First 1000 Days. These flexible funds allow us to respond quickly to emerging needs, ensuring families receive practical support when they need it most. Even a modest gift can make a meaningful difference, helping a family find stability, hope and the opportunity to build a brighter future.

A Specific Gift

A nominated dollar amount – for example, $5,000 or $10,000 – given to CCS as part of your estate. A simple, certain way to make a meaningful contribution.

A Percentage of Your Estate

A share of your overall estate –  for example, 5% or 10%, left to CCS after your loved ones have been provided for. Your gift grows with your estate over time.

A Specific Asset

A particular item of value – such as shares, property, or artwork,  left to CCS. This can be a meaningful way to convert assets into a lasting impact.

The Residue of Your Estate

The whole of what remains in your estate after providing for loved ones and settling other bequests. A profound and lasting gift to the families we serve.

What your gift enables.

Every year, the Caroline Chisholm Society supports thousands of pregnant women and young families across Melbourne’s west and north, and in Shepparton. We walk alongside them through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

A bag of nappies, a safe place to talk, a social worker who picked up the phone — these things can change the entire trajectory of a family’s life.

Your bequest helps us ensure that families like Sarah’s ,who arrives at our door with nothing – finds what they need. It funds the programs that fall outside government contracts. It keeps our doors open in communities where the need never stops.

No gift is too small. No legacy too modest. Every contribution carries the spirit of Caroline Chisholm’s own belief that ordinary people, doing something, can change the world.
