Keys to Infant Caregiving is a research based learning program from the Parent Child Relationship Program Barnard Centre University of Washington (link: https://www.pcrprograms.org) that provides important information on newborn, infant and child behaviour. The program covers topics such as infant cues, state modulation and the importance of feeding interactions. Keys to Infant Caregiving aims to build confidence and competence in caregivers, increasing their understanding of their child’s behaviour and communication patterns which leads to a more informed and supportive parenting approach.
Keys to Infant Caregiving is generally delivered for two hours for two weeks and is free of charge for families receiving family services support.
